Many thanks to our great partner, UWC LPC Hong Kong, for continuing to support REEC in bringing more children from rural areas of Cambodia to school. Together, we have built a strong relationship with our local community, teachers, children, and all the volunteers from LPC.
Together, we built the kindergarten at Thong Pong Primary School and engaged 18 new children aged 3-5 years, instilling the habit of learning and building a strong educational foundation from a young age.
Through our partner school and volunteers from LPC, we have created positive impacts for both the children in REEC's schools and the volunteers from the partner school.
Positive points for REEC children:
Enriched lessons and inspiring learning opportunities, including art, sports, music, and logical mental exercises.
Role models.
Inclusion, showing girls that they have equal opportunities and can achieve through education.
REEC teachers are inspired and gain new approaches and ideas.
Decreased dropout rates and increased enrollment.
Communities are motivated and see the school as the future.
Improved health and hygiene.
Increased self-esteem for children, teachers, and the community.
Positive points for partner schools:
Students face real adversity, challenges, and problems that they must solve.
Students are removed from their comfort zones and face living in challenging situations.
